Prior to the 7.6 release, the options for accordions were fairly limited and custom CSS was required. Below are examples.

If you need to have different colors on active and hover, custom CSS is needed for any version (so far).

The default uses plus and minus.

Using awb-icons

 

Assigning an ID (#accord-1) to the accordion (toggles) below I am able to change the icons. This does use font awesome, but the limited set that is included with Avada.

Using Font Awesome

In this example I am using a pro-level kit from Font Awesome to enable the web font implementation. There are some slight nuances with using the full feature set and you may find some challenges when using other elements such as the checklist element.
