The Avada live editing toolbar gives you access to a lot of features but it turns out most experienced users often overlook a couple of key ones that make working in live view so much easier — preference and keyboard shortcuts. First here is an image hotspot explaining the basic functions.

The Preferences Panel

One of the most overlooked areas on the toolbar is the preference panel which makes working in live mode easier and can be changed as the situation dictates. While all of the settings are important I have highlighted the ones that can really help you.

  • Sidebar Panel Position – Select the side which you want the sidebar panel to be displayed on.
  • Element Editing Mode – Choose if element editing should be in the sidebar or in dialogs.
  • Automatically Open Element Settings – Choose if the settings should be opened automatically after adding an element.
  • Enable Keyboard Shortcuts – Choose if keyboard shortcuts should be enabled or disabled.
  • Show Option Descriptions By Default – Choose if option descriptions should be shown or hidden by default.
  • Show Tooltips – Choose if tooltips should be enabled or disabled.
  • Enable Sticky Header and Containers – Choose if sticky header and sticky containers should be enabled or disabled.
  • Enable Transparent Header and Absolute Containers – Choose if transparent header and absolute containers should be enabled or disabled.
  • Enable Preview for Filter Options – Choose if element filter options preview should be enabled or disabled.
  • Show Droppable Areas While Dragging – Enable in order to see all dropppable areas while dragging element.
  • Sidebar Panel Overlay Mode – Choose if the sidebar panel should act as an overlay. If enabled, the sidebar will overlay the preview content.
