I am putting this in the short section since it only applies to people using Gutenberg. I recently discovered a new plugin that essentially does what the Avada YouTube and Vimeo elements do when Enable Video Facade is turned on — only load the image and not the video. Essentially is the keyword in the previous sentence because Avada does handle accessibility which this plugin does not (yet). If you want to improve performance using the out-of-the-box embed features in Gutenberg, I recommend looking at Better Core Video Embeds.
